About the author

Benoit Gailly

Professor Benoit Gailly has a Master and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from UCLouvain, a European Master’s Degree in Society, Science and Technology from Roskilde University, and an MBA from INSEAD.

He is since 2001 Professor of innovation management and strategy at master’s degree and executive level. He is also the Program Director of the Executive Master’s degree in Innovation Management (www.LouvainInnovation.be).

His research focuses on innovation-based strategies, corporate innovation management capabilities and innovation support systems. He is the author of numerous scientific publications on innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as of the books Developing Innovative Organizations (Palgrave, 2011) and Navigating Innovation (Palgrave, 2018).

As an executive advisor, board member and mentor, his references include international industrial and R&D-intensive firms and start-ups active in Belgium and abroad, such as (among others): AGC, Aisin, Alstom, Carmeuse, Cosucra, Desmet, Dow, Hexagon, IBA, John Cockerill, GSK, Infrabel, Lhoist, Magotteaux, Mastercard, nGage, Nokia, N-Side, Puratos, Safran, Sibelga, Solvay, SNCB, SRIB, Sonaca, Technord…
